Who We Are

The Zonta E-Club Atlantic Coast I is a virtual Zonta club within District 3 that unifies monthly to organize, mobilizes and improve the status of Women and Girls.  E-clubs make it possible for everyone to participate in Zonta activities. Our e-club meets virtually monthly 6:30PM to 7:30PM on the third Monday of the month. 

Our members participate virtually and face to face in regional, district, and international events. In addition our e-club Zontians engage in virtual activities including our digital advocacy efforts. 

The Zonta E-Club  Atlantic Coast I represents Zontians in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.

Zonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls.

Vision

Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men.

In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

Checklist: How am I empowering youth?

Incorporate this checklist into your daily routine to empower young people and contribute to building an inclusive world!

• Am I encouraging emerging young leaders?
  When you see a potential young leader in your community, company or organization, reach out and encourage them to take on leadership roles.

• Am I offering them mentorship opportunities?
  Offer to mentor youth or connect them with someone in your network for mentorship or other opportunities to help them achieve their dreams.

• Am I establishing a relationship with them?
  Go beyond basic introductions and handshakes, and cultivate intergenerational friendships that inspire and uplift. Let your connections be a source of mutual inspiration.

• Am I listening to their ideas and implementing them?
  Collaborate with young people and ensure their voices and perspectives are part of the decision-making process.

• Am I celebrating their successes?
  Acknowledging the accomplishments of young people, no matter how big or small, will uplift their self-esteem and motivate them to strive for even greater success.

• Am I helping them find a home at Zonta?
  Talk about the incredible work that Zonta does and how our mission aligns with their values by inviting them to an event or meeting. If they are a student member, inspire them to continue their Zonta journey as a Young Professional Member.
